The 2023 Toyota Sequoia measures 208″ L x 80″ W x 74-78″ H. Customize it with one of nine colors and 17-22" wheel sizes. In comparison, the 2023 Lexus GX 460 measures 192″ L x 74″ W x 74″ H with six color options and 18" or 19" wheels.

Interior Design & Seating

The 2023 Toyota Sequoia has three rows for holding up to eight people. There's also the option to decline the bench seat in the second row and use captain's chairs instead, providing room for seven. With the 2023 Lexus GX 460, you get a three-row setup for seven or choose the captain's chairs to hold six.

Infotainment & Features

The 2023 Toyota Sequoia comes with a standard 8" touch screen, wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a navigation system, an 8-speaker audio system, a Wi-Fi hotspot, satellite radio, and USB ports. Cargo Capacity

The 2023 Toyota Sequoia contains 22.3 cubic feet of space in the back. When the back row is down, there are 49 cubic feet of room, with 86.9 cubic feet behind the front seats. The 2023 Lexus GX 460 offers 11.6, 46.7, and 64.7 cubic feet, respectively.

Drivetrain & Suspension

The 2023 Toyota Sequoia can be equipped with rear- or four-wheel drive, except the TRD Pro includes standard four-wheel drive. There's no option with the 2023 Lexus GX 460, as all models have four-wheel drive.

Engine

The 2023 Toyota Sequoia has one engine configuration, including the i-Force Max hybrid system with a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 engine and an electric motor. It also includes a 1.87-kWh battery pack and a ten-speed automatic transmission to create 437 horsepower. The 2023 Lexus GX 460 has a 4.6-liter V8 engine and a six-speed automatic transmission to produce 301 horsepower.

Performance & MPG

Toyota says that the 2023 Sequoia will be rated at 21/24 mpg. That's much better than the 15/19 mpg rating for the 2023 Lexus GX 460.

Towing Capacity

When properly equipped, the 2023 Toyota Sequoia has a maximum tow rating of 9,520 pounds. The 2023 Lexus GX 460 can only tow up to 6,500 pounds.

Even though we don't have safety ratings for the 2023 Toyota Sequoia yet, we know Car and Driver says, "The new model is far more modern than the outdated second-generation Sequoia it replaces." Car and Driver also mentions, "The Lexus GX is essentially a Toyota 4Runner with luxury appointments and a V-8 instead of a V-6."
