Introducing the New 2019 Toyota Avalon
Toyota unveils brand-new flagship sedan: The 2019 Toyota Avalon
The sedan is one of the longest-running vehicle types in automotive history. It takes a lot to be at the top of this competitive category, but Toyota has been doing it since 1994. That’s the year the venerable Avalon was first released. For 2019, Toyota’s popular midsize four-door has been thoroughly redesigned, making it better than ever.
2019 Toyota Avalon
With the 2019 Toyota Avalon, you don’t have to take out a second mortgage to get premium features. Toyota’s flagship sedan offers effortless sophistication at a price you can afford.
The 2019 Toyota Avalon is available in XLE, XSE, Touring and Limited trim levels.
Unlike most vehicles in its class, the new Toyota Avalon is far from boring. The large four-door draws from Toyota’s new, sporty design philosophy called Technical Beauty. Upfront it showcases the company’s signature sport-mesh front grille, and LED headlights with dynamic turn signals. Travel rearward, and you’ll find chrome quad exhaust tips that emanate power.
Inside, the Avalon offers a level of refinement greater than vehicles three times its cost. Available Cognac Leather upholstery and real wood trim welcome you, while climate-controlled seats keep you warm. A premium JB audio system provides the tunes.
Flagship sedans are supposed to be powerful – and the Toyota Avalon doesn’t disappoint. It’s offered with a new 3.5L V6 that makes 301 hp from the latest technology, such as variable valve timing and direct injection. An 8-speed Direct Shift automatic transmission routes that power to the front wheels.
For those looking for optimum efficiency, the Avalon is also offered as a hybrid model. This layout pairs a 2.5L Dynamic Force four-cylinder engine with two electric motors. To conserve cargo space, the compact battery pack is nestled under the rear seats instead of in the trunk.
Both traditional and hybrid models are offered with a range of performance enhancements. For example, there’s an Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS) that provides instantaneous dampening adjustments to conform to the road. For further finetuning, a drive mode selector allows the driver to alter vehicle performance. On Touring Models, modes include Normal, Sport/ Sport+, and Custom.
Tired of fighting with outdated technology? It’s time to upgrade to the Toyota Avalon. The focal point of the car’s tech interface is the Entune infotainment display. Found within the interior’s floating center stack, the touch-screen provides access to a wide range of apps, as well as in-car Wi-Fi. Apple CarPlay and Amazon Alexa are also onboard, along with wireless device charging.
Fully self-driving cars are on the way. Until then, there’s the next best thing – the Toyota Avalon. The new sedan offers a heaping helping of driver assistance technologies bundled up nicely into the Toyota Safety Sense P (TSS-P). This suite of advanced features offers functions like dynamic radar cruise control, pre-collision warning and much more. Other notable options include a panoramic view monitor and Intelligent Clearance Sonar.
